Let it snow...

In these olympic times I actually dreamt I went snowboarding down a mountain side! ... and it felt great!

Maybe I should make an effort to start snowboarding again? Hmm....

Ever heard of the term
"lucid dreaming" ?
No?
It's basically a dream state you enter after realizing that you are dreaming, and therefore gaining the ability to manipulate every aspect of your dream.

As I've gotten older I've been having more lucid dreams, and now I've started to train up that skill by doing different exercises and reading books and articles on the subject.

Lucid dreaming can be used for many things. For fun, to see lost loved ones, to practice athletic skills in a world without physical boundaries or laws of nature (or laws of society for that matter. Feel the thrill of doing "something bad", without getting the cops at your doorstep), to change your inner thought processes in real life, and lots more.

One of the steps in exercising lucid dreaming is writing down your dream (either normal or lucid) the very second you wake up. I keep a little orange notebook next to my bed where I chart down what I can remember of the nights events... and some of them end up here.
